We have been experencing occasional long refreshes on our preimum capacity. Our data set refreshes 80 times a day and ususally takes 2-3 mintues. Every once in a while we have gotten extremely long refreshes. 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. The long refrehes can causes critical business delays
- Logs
- The logs for these long refreshes dont seem to explain much as there are no errors.
- The longer 1 - 1.5 hour versions stop logging entirely for the middle of the refresh and pick back up again right at the end.
- The count of log enteries is not signifganly different than a normal refresh.
- Capacity
- The Preimum capacity is in a normal state and not near its maximums.
- Support
- Power BI service has not been able to provide us with any explination of why it has happned.
Current soloutions
The only solution we have found to this issue is to take the workspace out of the preimum capacity wait five minutes and put it back in.
if anyone has any thoughts on this behavior it woudl be helpfull.
