Hi
For the past 2 weeks, I have been unable to refresh my reports. I have a simple transformation, merging two standard tables from business central "Items" and "Item attributes". I am using the standard power BI connector directly to Business Central Cloud.
Whenever I refresh manualy, below happens.
1. It evaluates for between 30 seconds and 1 minute
2. It then gives the following error message (translated to english: "An exsisting connection was forcibly terminated by an external host"
I have tried the following:
- Disabled paralel loads/evaluation..
- Checked all credentials etc...
- Updated Power BI to the latest version
We have around 12.000 lines in items and 10.000 lines in the attributes table. No fancy coding.. It used to work just fine - now it cannot refresh, even after 50 tries...
Nothing works and my teams are now without any power BI reports...
Hi
I have tried but nothing works. I have now built a new data model staying far away from Merge.. Hoping that MS fixes this at some point
Hi @Rapullioo ,
Is the problem only in PowerBI Desktop?
1. Reference some past solutions:
Solved: oData connection to Business Central (on prem) - f... - Microsoft Fabric Community
Solved: OLE DB or ODBC error: [DataSource.Error] - Microsoft Fabric Community
2. Please test caching two tables into memory before the merge query.
Table.Buffer - PowerQuery M | Microsoft Learn
3. Try clearing the data cache here and refreshing.
4. Since the error mentions that the connection was forcibly closed by the remote host, it's also worth checking any network or firewall settings that might be interrupting the connection.
Best Regards,
Gao
