how do i disable download for a specific PBI workspace

have a requirement to allow some users to refresh pbi dataset but NOT download pbi file 

there is nothing in workspace setting to disable report download 

setting users as members in a workspace not working for me   ..  member users in workspace can still download 

setting file option , report settings, dont allow export not working .. member users in workspace can still download 

setting download option in admin protal to restrict ad group   .. member users will not be able to download everywhere 

why is this option not available at a workspace level ??

please advise how ro restrict member users from downlading files in a specific workspace only

Hi  @musa_af ,

You can assign the viewer role to users who should not download the PBIX files. Viewers can interact with the reports but cannot download them.

You may also try create an app from your workspace and share the reports via the app. When users access reports through the app, they are in read-only mode and cannot download the PBIX files.

Or in the Power BI Admin Portal, you can restrict the download option for specific security groups. This setting will apply across all workspaces, but it can help manage download permissions more effectively.
