Before, the only way to know the location of the pbix file you have opened, was to click on "File" and then hover over the first report name on the list. Now, when you hover over the name, you can no longer see the full text so basically you have no way to know where the file is located.

I'm not sure I'm understanding your needs accurately.
Are you referring to the part of the file path that is not visible in your image that is painted?
I did a simple test in Power BI Desktop and it still works fine.
Please correct me if I have misinterpreted your needs.
