Paginated Report Builder Stopped Working on Sunday

I was trying to finish a Paginated Report but I can't get the software to run anything anymore. It just hangs at the run stage and never gets to the point of showing the Parameters.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling.... I also tried upgrading the .net Framework. I can't seem to find old versions of this software. Please fix.

Hi @BigPicDeepDive ,

There has been no feedback from other users who have had similar experiences to you. I did a simple test and have no luck to reproduce your problem. My test version is 15.7.1806.11

Could you please provide more detail information?

Best regards.

I am also having issues with the latest version of Power BI Report Builder.

I am not able to sign in, and receive the following error (which seems to be related to Web Account Manager for .NET?).

Unable to load DLL 'msalruntime_x86': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E) See https://aka.ms/msal-net-wam#troubleshooting

This is using the Micrsoft Store version of Report Builder 15.7.1811.11, which appears to be 'newer' than the most latest version?

Note - I can't revert to an earlier version of Report Builder as this would require UAC to un/reinstall.

Just had an encounter of this on one of our team member's computer. The main issue is the Report Builder applications has been loaded in 32-bit (x86) mode, which is no longer supported ( see Power BI gateway and Report Builder support for ODBC data sources - Power BI | Microsoft Learn ).

The latest Report Builder has no business trying to load msalruntime_x86.dll. It should be loading msalruntime.dll which is the 64-bit version. This is still happening with the latest version of Report Builder (Sept 2024)
