No "Data Exceeds Limits" message on browser!?

When there is too much data to export in PBI Desktop I receive a nice big pop up telling me such.

When I export on PBI browser (which I almost exclusively use when exporting data) there is no such advantage... Therefore, I (or any of the stakeholders using the published report) must know/remember to scroll down to the bottom to look to make sure that the data is all there.

My question is, "Is there a way to create a pop up IF the data exceeds the limit of 150k rows?"

Please help.

Thank you in advance.

Hi @KGOLSEN ,

You can set up data alerts on dashboards in Power BI Service. This won't create a pop-up, but it can send you an email or notification when certain conditions are met. You can find more information on setting up data alerts

Hi @v-xiaoyan-msft,

Thank you for the response.

All I want is a notification of some sort that tells me that  there is too much data for an export BEFORE exporting. That's all. I (or anyone else) shouldn't have to know to remember to go to the bottom of the exported report to inform them that their data was cut off. This NEEDS to happen WHILE exporting.

This is a MASSIVE design flaw. I mean WHY would you have this option in Desktop and then completely skip it in browser, which most users are likely using to export data from. It litterly makes ZERO sense to me why this would intentional.

Please make it make sense...

Thanks!
