Hi,
I have an Issue I had to download a pbix from Power BI Service to add two custom columns in Dax. Then I tried to re-publish the report backto the same workspace, but it does not overwrite the old one, despite names are exactly the same and only change are two custom columns in DAX.
As result I then have two reports and two semantic models with the same name on the workspace.
I checkt this on two other Tenants and there this procedure works fine as intended and always replaces the existing items.
Anyone with a similar problem and or solution. It seems Power BI Service creates a new ID for new reason

Hi @VAMI ,
There have been instances where using a service principal for authentication can cause issues with publishing reports. For example, in one case, a service principal was getting an unauthorized error while publishing reports using PowerShell scripts. If you're using a service principal, you might want to check if there are any specific permissions or configurations needed.
Please ensure that the workspace and dataset configurations are consistent across tenants. Sometimes, differences in workspace settings or dataset configurations can lead to unexpected behavior. For instance, there was a case where a customer faced issues with refreshing a Power BI report due to gateway exceptions. Checking and aligning these settings might help.
