Issue connecting Power BI Service to Azure PostgreSQL - Missing Assembly 'System.Runtime.Compile'

About a week ago, I was able to connect to Azure Database for Postgres - Flexible Server from app.powerbi.com (Power BI Service) with no issues.

The Power BI report published was in direct query mode and I did not have to use a gateway.

Now I am getting this error:

Failed to update data source credentials: An error happened while reading data from the provider: 'Could not load file or assembly 'System.Runtime.CompilerServices.Unsafe, Version=6.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=xxxxxxxxxxx' or one of its dependencies.

The system cannot find the file specified.'Hide details

This problem does not occur if a data gateway is used. However, this is not an option for me.
Plus microsoft itself claims this:

Could you please look into this?

This is a very urgent issue and needs to be resolved immediately.
Thanks.

Hi @Rohith_Kanathur

It's a known issue . The engineers on the product team are now aware and will do their best to resolve the issue. I will update here if there is any progress, so please be patient!

Possible mitigation measures given by PG:

  1.  Reuse an existing shared Cloud connection to connect to PostgreSQL Create and share cloud data sources in the Power BI service - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
  2. Create a new connection in Dataflows and use this new connection while connecting to PostgreSQL
  3. Create a connection using a Data Gateway
