I had previously set this up with an old version of Desktop and it worked as expected. I do not know which version of PBI I was running.
I have emails in a table and a calculated column which appends the mailto: protocol so these become links. This works correctly in a table still (though there is a pop-up now about leaving the PowerBI Report...) but this no longer works with a web URL on a button.
- I tested the same button with a hardcoded https:// and it works fine.
- I tested the mailto: links directly in powerBI from a table and it worked.
- I tested the mailto: links directly in my browser and it worked.
Obviously the button web URL action no longer handles the mailto: protocol correctly. Please address.

The product team updated the latest version of Power BI Desktop on December 9.Typically, issues that have arisen in past versions have been fixed in the latest version. Can you download and retry to see if this issue still exists?
