Unable to update an existing connection when creating a new shortcut

Hi,

Upon trying to change the Authentication for a new shortcut, I'm getting the following error message:
"Connection could not be updated".

Only 'workaround' I could find until this point, is to delete the entire connection, and recreate it from scratch.
Anyone else experienced this issue?
@FilipVDR FYI...

Same problem here to. Trying to connect to Azure SQL database, first wrong because of firewall rule I didn't add first. One error because of credential and then later this error :

Connection could not be updated.

I'll tried to recreate the connection but that doesn't work either.

WHen i treid to recreate the connection a dropdown appeared with basic authentication settings already filled in. When I choosed for new connection it worked

I am not sure about it, but you can try,  while creating linked service, you need to use "Latest version", so that it will update automatically

If I answer your question, please mark it as solution.

IMO this is Microsoft Fabric Synapse forum? So my remark was about Factory in Microsoft Fabric Factory.

Hi sudhav,
Thanks for your answer, but I don't have those options in the Microsoft Fabric environment.
The screenshot you posted is from the Azure Portal, more specifically the Azure Synapse environment, but this functionality is not in the Microsoft Fabric suite...

No solution, unfortunately.

Hey, microsoft fabric still under review and some of the options are not improvised yet, you have to wait untill the full version available...
