Slow and/or Timeouts when saving Notebooks

Fairly frequently recently, we see delays from several seconds to almost a minute when saving notebooks to the workspace through the web interface.  I've tried changing to a manual save and validated that sometimes the delay occurs where there as just a few cells in the notebook.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar and/or would have any insight into an configurations that might mitigate this.

Thank you for continuing to follow up.  I have been trying to get a little more information together that may be pertinent to the behavior.

From a limited amount of testing, the UI seems to become unresponsive when there is large number of pending requests similar to below.  There seems to be at least one request for each table in the connected lakehouses (the example below is for the table ReleaseShipTracking) and not infrequently the responses will fail or take over 1 second to complete whenever the notebook is opened or connected to the lakehouse.  Also, when an individual cell run, it appears all the tables in the lakehouse are queried again at least once.   In this particular lakehouse there are approximately 100 tables.

Could this be a symptom of some sort of configuration with the lakehouse or workspace?  Note the lakehouse is in a different workspace than the workspace of the notebook.

This happens to me all the time. Sometimes it never completes the save, and I have to reload the entire page, thereby losing my latest changes.

While it is saving, I'm not able to navigate away from the notebook, so I'm stuck, hoping the save operation will complete eventually...
