Hi!
I have a semantic model and report published to the Service and I would like to create a new report that consumes from the same semantic model.
I already know that I can achieve that by selecting the option "Get Data --> Power BI Semantic Models" and then choosing the model I want. That will create a Live Connection to the model.
I have two issues with that:
1) Is there a way of consuming the semantic model but in Import Mode?
2) I need to duplicate an existing report (it has more than 20 pages). If I duplicate the .pbix file and then connect to the semantic model by Live Connection, it will duplicate all tables/measures and I would have to map each visual to the new source. Is there any way to improve this?
Thanks guys!

Hi @PAschieri ,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum regarding the issue you're experiencing.
Power BI Service do not allow you to consume a published Power BI Semantic Model in Import Mode directly but the only option available is a Live Connection.
For the second one,the best way to avoid manually remapping visuals is to use Power BI Template (.PBIT) files. Shared datasets may maintain a stable connection to the same data model, so when you duplicate reports, the visuals will retain their original mapping to the same dataset.

Hi @PAschieri
Yes I agree with @v-pagayam-msft comments. It won't allow to use as import mode. Thanks @v-pagayam-msft for clarification.
