Hi everyone,
I have integrated my Dataverse data through an Azure Synapse link, so it can end up in a Lakehouse in Microsoft Fabric. All of this works as it should, and the updates are also running automatically as they should. However, there is one thing that puzzles me about the built-in functions that are supposed to ensure incremental updates and track which rows have been deleted. My "isDelete" column is always NULL, even though I know there have been deletions in the table.
Is there something I need to activate for this function to work?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi @marierasmu123 ,
According to your description, your problem is that the "isDelete" column is always NULL even though the table has been deleted, right?
First, sometimes, delays or problems in the synchronization process may cause differences in the reflected data, so make sure your synchronization process is running normally.
Second, in Azure Synapse Link advanced configuration, different options affect the way to track deletions, please set according to your requirements.
You can toggle Show advanced configuration settings under Advanced in Azure Synapse Link for Dataverse to select options for writing to Azure Data Lake.

Hi!
Thank you very much for your response. Perhaps you can help me with some follow-up questions:
I can't see that a new row is created for each change I've made. I had expected that the history in the rows when I use "append only" would create a new row whenever a change occurred in a field so there would be a new and an old one.
Additionally, I can see that when I delete a row, all data is deleted as well, and I can only see the GUID it had, but no data fields.
