Hello,
In the release plan, its mentioned that support for managed identities will be released in Q4 for Data Factory. Does this mean it will be also available for usage in OneLake- shortcuts to connect to data sources.
And will it be only available for specific capacities as workspace identities?

Thanks.

Hi @AyahHamdan
Thanks for using Microsoft Fabric Community.
The information you found about managed identities being released in Q4 for Data Factory in Microsoft Fabric applies specifically to Data Factory, not necessarily OneLake.
Currently we don't have any official mention of managed identity support for OneLake shortcuts specifically in the release plan you referenced. It's possible support might come in the future, but there's no confirmation yet.
For workspace identities, the release plan talks about Connections, a new framework for defining and sharing connections across Data Factory items. It doesn't explicitly mention limitations to specific capacities.
I hope this information helps. Please do let us know if you have any further queries.
Thank you.
