Hey there,
I was wondering if anyone can help me find out why i'm not able to create Support Tickets anymore.
Have been opening a few Tickets with the same User in the past, but all of a sudden i do get an error when trying to.
So the User i have is:
- Fabric Administrator (Entra Role)
- Capacity Admin (F2 - Paid)
- Fabric Capacity Azure Resource Contributor
Nothing has been changed and according to MS Documentation Fabric Admin (former PowerBI Admin) should be sufficient.
I do get the following Error when trying to choose the Support Contract (Should just show me Standard Support for Fabric):
it should look like this (how it also did in the past):
Been scratching my head around this problem. Maybe somebody has an idea?
What am i missing?
Thanks,
Tim
Hi @Timal ,
The error message indicates that there is no permission to create it.
Here are a few suggestions I offer:
Because I have so little information at this time, I can't tell what's causing your problem. You can create a support ticket for free and a dedicated Microsoft engineer will come to solve the problem for you.
It would be great if you continue to share in this issue to help others with similar problems after you know the root cause or solution.
The link of Power BI Support: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/
For how to create a support ticket, please refer to How to create a support ticket in Power BI - Microsoft Fabric Community
Thank you for your understanding.

Hi Yang,
Thanks for your tips. I've already tried those (just did it again just to be sure) an everything is fine and active. Clearing the browser didn't help either.
I would like to create a ticket but i can't as stated in the post.
No matter if i go via PowerPlatform Admin Center or Fabric Admin Center i do get the same error message on both.
So even tho a PowerBI ticket is "free" i am not able to create anything because im blocked by the error message as stated in the post.
Regards,
Tim
Hi @Timal ,
It is possible that a Free account is being used to work in Fabric capacity, which prevents even a capacity administrator from creating a support ticket.
In this case, you may need to contact the Global Administrator and ask the Global Administrator to check your account and permission settings to make sure you have enough permissions to create support tickets.

Hey @v-huijiey-msft ,
We've tried it with the Global Administrator and not even that person is able to create a Ticket.
There seems to be something really wrong with the PowerPlatform.
Anyways i guess i will continue the search and see if i can somehow create a Ticket on another Platform (Microsoft 365 Center or something).
Thanks,
Tim
Hi @Timal ,
Is my follow-up just to ask if the problem has been solved?
If so, can you accept the correct answer as a solution or share your solution to help other members find it faster?
Thank you very much for your cooperation!
