Microsoft Fabric Capacity Metrics Error Processing Dataset

Hi, I am trying to understand my fabric capacity usage and I want to use the metrics app available on the app store.

Microsoft Fabric Capacity Metrics

However I get the following error message after I register my capacity id.

"There was an error processing the data in this dataset."

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Hi @gwruck ,

1. Please go to the Fabric Capacity Metrics workspace, find the semantic model, set it up, and if you find such an error in the last refresh result, then the reason is that you are not an administrator of the capacity.

The report returns the same error message at this point.

2. If it's not the above, please check the Capacity ID parameter and credentials again under Semantic Model Settings, where someone mistakenly put the capacity name into the Capacity ID earlier.

The privacy level of the credential is set to Organizational.

With the Capacity Manager credentials and the above settings, my Fabric Capacity Metrics are working fine.

Thanks Gao, my issue was the capacity id.  I had used the name of the capacity from Azure.  I did not know about the fabric admin portal.  It would be good if they could put the capacity id in the Azure portal with other identifying info.
