Using Purview Data Map, I would like to create a classification rule to automatically classify any Microsoft Fabric data asset as PII data within Purview Data Catalog.
However, when I try to configure a "Scan rule sets", I don't find a "Data source type" for Microsoft Fabric.
Is this integration not yet available between Microsoft Fabric and Purview?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Yes, in the default scan rules, is not present. And while creating custom rule set for Fabric, the data source type for Fabric is not yet available.
I suggest you to raise a ticket to Microsoft Support and let them discuss the feature readiness with their Purview product team and check if there is a feasibility of exception or whitelisting for your tenant for adding scan rules for testing.
I was working on Fabric and Purview connectivity and quality scanning months ago and it was not ready. So Microsoft support had asked me to raise separate ticket to whitelist few limited features for our tenant.
Thanks,
Pallavi

Hi everyone.
According to the post below, it is not yet possible to classify Fabric data through Purview automatically.
Thanks.
