Is Fabric (Free) license time limited?

Hi, my organization currently has the Fabric (Free) license, but I have a message that "your trial is set to expire in 6 days". Is the Free license temporary? I thought it was permanent but it looks like we might need to buy a license. Thanks.

I agree with @pallavi_r  comments. You will get a notifications before trail expiry. Then you can click on extend trail. Again you will get 60more days of trail extension

Hi @elbent ,

When we are nearing the trial period, it will show link for 'Request to renew trial'. Click on that and provide details. I just did today and it says and my trial got extended till March 2025. Microsoft has been liberal in providing MS Fabric free license for more than a year, and I have been renewing it in every 60 days.

Hi @Edga ,

Just in case you forget to click on link 'Request to renew trial' and trial period gets over, I think you can still will have option to renew trial or you can contact support for requesting an extension of trial by providing your trial capacity id.

And meanwhile you can try out MS Fabric if anyone in the organization is using MS Fabric free trial, then ask them to create a workspace for you giving admin access to you.
