Fabric and Microsoft Purview

Hello good people,

May I know how exactly Microsoft Purview able to help on collecting information about our project in Fabric ? let say how many lakehouses we have, notebooks, tables semantic model, Power BI reports etc.

I've look into some numbers of article and Youtube but unfortunately my limited understanding of it fail to connect on how eactly the usage or how effectively using this.

I guess some of the confusion to start is do we need to start from Azure Purview or the Microsoft Purview Hub in Fabric ?

The main goal for now is basically for documentation.

May I ask some advice and guidance on this.

• Microsoft Purview Information Protection: Purview enables you to discover, classify, and protect fabric data using sensitivity tags.
• Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP): Purview's DLP capabilities help you define and monitor policies to prevent sensitive data from being accidentally shared or compromised.
• Microsoft Purview Audit: All Microsoft Fabric user activity is logged and available in the Microsoft Purview Audit Log.

There's no magic to Purview - it's doing the same meta data API calls that you can also do manually.
