My colleague is trying to connect to a connection I created via a lookup activity in Fabric Data Factory
However, when they click on connections, we get a "something went wrong" error
For reference:
- This same thing works for me, and I can see all of our connections
- We are using the Free Trial
- We are both Admins in the workspace, and all users have been added to the data sources as per the documentation
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/data-factory/data-source-management
Any thoughts on what the issue may be?

Hi, what I suppose you are trying to do based on the screenshots is that your collegue wants to use a connection in Data Flow Gen2 which was created by you in a Lookup activity using Data Pipeline. Based on the second screenshot, your collegue is not able to view all onelake data. However, I don't think your collegue needs the onelake data, but the data from the same source as the lookup. Is the lookup created for a SQL server? If that is the case, your collegue needs to select SQL Server as the source (which I can see in the screenshot) and select the connection there. Does your collegue see the connection in the list there if the same SQL-server connection details are filled in?
Hi @Bshin ,
I tested using pipeline in Data factory and could not reproduce the problem you describe, it works fine on my side.
I have the following suggestions:
