Can we change an existing Lakehouse to use schemas?

Greetings, community. I'm looking forward to using the new lakehouse schemas feature, but I'm not seeing anything about if it is possible to switch an existing lakehouse to using schemas. I know LH schemas are still in preview, but I'm hoping this will be possible as I have a lakehouse with a lot of solutions that depend on it that would benefit from schemas.

I'm afraid this is not supported currently. Check this: Public preview limitations

It says it will be resolved before General Availability. Let's look forward to that.
