To integrate data present in an external source into Onelake we can use Onelake shortcuts. Shortcuts are objects in OneLake that point to other storage locations. The location can be internal or external to OneLake. The location that a shortcut points to is known as the target path of the shortcut.
You can create shortcuts in lakehouses and Kusto Query Language (KQL) databases. The shortcuts you create within these items can point to other OneLake locations, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) Gen2, or Amazon S3 storage accounts.
In additional to these we also have Dataverse shortcut which allows users to extend their Dynamics 365 enterprise applications and business processes into Fabric. The View in Microsoft Fabric feature, which is built into the PowerApps maker portal, makes all your Dynamics 365 data available for analysis in Microsoft Fabric.
However, Dataverse shortcuts can't be created through the Fabric UX. They must be created through the PowerApps maker portal.

If you need to move your data without using shortcuts you can create a pipeline in Fabric using copy data activity. This pipeline can help you to copy the data from external source D365 to Fabric lakehouse. Once the pipeline has finished running, your D365 F&O tables will be linked to Fabric One lake. You can then use Fabric One lake to explore and analyze your data.
