many to many relationship problem

Hi Team,

Needed solution from long back, stuck on this point.

I have 2 tables. both has multiple ID. Table (right side) contains ID mulitple time as more than 2 person can be a part of 1 single activity ( or id). I want to filter table & measures when name is selected from table only belongs ID should filter.

I tried with brigde table. however its not working. please help me on this.

You could create a many-to-many relationship but make the filter direction single so that Table filters Fact.

Depending on the size of Table and the number of distinct names, you could also consider creating a Name table using DISTINCT('Table'[Name]) and create a one-to-many relationship from that to Table. You would then use the new Names table in your slicers and visuals.

Hi @NILU090 ,

I would suggest an easy asnwer which is to create another dim table which contains distinct ID', but it would cost you a peforance setback.
