error don't support CLR type

Could you please help me with this error?

DataSource.Error: An error happened while reading data from the provider: 'We don't support CLR type 'System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2[System.String,System.String]'.'

I have this error in one of columns after import data from database to power bi. It has dictionary type.

Hello everyone, I would like to ask if it exists some workaround how to import this type of data to power bi. I think it's strange not to have this possibility.

Hi Katerina_SL ,

Hello, your problem is that during the import of data from the database to Power BI, the error is caused by the presence of dictionary type data in the database data.

I checked the official documentation and found that Power BI doesn't support dictionary-type data.

Here is the link to the documentation.

Best Regards,

Jayleny

Thank you for reply. Do you maybe know some workaround, how can I import this data?

Katerina, hi,
