Hi all,
I am asked by my boss to use power bi to compare stock prices.
What I've done was download different histocial data csv files from Yahoo Finance.
Afterwards, I tried to creat a line chart by inserting date and close.price from one stock table and joined by another stock's close.price. My line chart ended up with a stright line and another one has the zigzag line (which i believe is right).
Can anyone shed some light on this? (Question posted from Taiwan)
Thanks for anyone helping out!

Hi
Could you kindly show us some data and what result you want? So we can come to a more effective solution.
Anyway, according to your description, I make a test on my site with two stock table containing close.price.
My attempt is to get a line chart which compares close.price of different stocks based on the same date. Does it meet your goal? Please follow these steps
1.Create a calendar table and make relationships between the calendar table and two stock tables
Table 2 = CALENDARAUTO()
2.Add the date field in Axis, and add two close.price field from two stock table to the value.
If you have any question, please feel free to ask me.
Best Regards
Maggie
Here is a template, maybe you can use it as a reference.

Thank tou Maggie, you are very kind!
I wanted to compare different stocks by pulling data from Yahoo Finance and create a line chart.
I also found out someone has done similar things.
