Power BI Long vs Wide Dataset

Hi,

 

I have read in a lot of places that Power BI works more efficiently with long format as opposed to wide format. And on different message boards, it seems like long gets more votes than wide. However, I found this article from Chris Webb a few years back that makes the case for using wide format.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this matter?

The engine behind power bi compress the data by column that's why it's better to be tall rather than wide.
