Hello,
I have a number of queries in Power BI. Previously I have been able to import those queries into Excel by executing the following flow: Open Excel > Data > Get Data > From Power Platform > Power BI
This series of actions generates a side panel on the right hand side of my screen in Excel. This side panel generates a list of my most recent Power BI queries. Previously, underneath the title of these queries there used to be two options; 'Insert Pivot Table' and 'Insert Table'. Clicking the 'Insert Table' option would allow me to import the data in my Power BI queries into Excel, as a table.
This afternoon (07 March 2024), something peculiar happened. The two options are no longer presented. Instead, I am only able to click on my chosen query and Excel imports the data in Pivot Table format as default. There is no way I can see to import as a table. This is very frustrating since I have a number of reports that draw from the imported table, which can no longer function.
Any assistance to help me import queries as a table again, will be highly welcome.
I've always had the option to 'Insert Table'. I am using the same hardware, the same software and same Excel license (business). However, I am not the administrator. Could this be a change at the administrator level (i.e. converting from Beta back to Standard?).
In the below video produced by Leila Gharani (Microsoft MVP) it sounds as though the 'Insert Table' option is a new feature and that Pivot Table was always the default. If this is the case, it suggests that maybe the type of Excel account has changed (Beta back to Standard). Not sure, just trying to think of some possible routes to explore.

Hello again.
I just checked for updates and apparently I had some new ones to install. Now that Excel has updated, the options have returned.
Thank you for your efforts v-binbinyu!

Hi @skay123 ,
I test it in my environment, it works well.
