Dealing with Power BI Desktop Cache

Does anyone have experience in dealing with Power BI Cache?

With multiple reloads of SQL tables, I have the feeling that it does not reload the data and displays it incorrectly. After deleting the cache several times and restarting the Power BI desktop or deleting Visuals, the correct results are occasionally displayed, but sometimes it hangs up so that the change is not completely caught until the next day.

Many Thanks in Advance.

Best Regards

Bonkers

Hi @Bonkers

Navigate to File > Options and settings > Options. Under GLOBAL, select Data Load, and then click on Clear Cache. This action removes any saved data that Power BI Desktop might be using instead of fetching the latest from your SQL tables.

If you suspect that connection issues might be part of the problem, clearing cached credentials can help. Go to File > Options and settings > Data source settings, and then select Clear Permissions. This step ensures that any stale connections are reset.

Poor or unstable internet connection can sometimes cause issues with data reloading. Make sure your connection is stable. Additionally, if you're behind a firewall or using a proxy server, ensure that Power BI Desktop can connect to the Power BI service by following the guidelines here:
