DataSource. Eror: can't access the file, being used by another process?

Hi all: Good day! I have 3 data sources: 2 db tables and 1 local excel file.

When I go to the 'Query Editor' to do some edit: I am getting this error on the local excel file: "DataSource.Error: the process cannot access the file' abc.xlsx' because it is being used by another process." The file is closed, not being used by any other process except by this Power BI dashboard that I am using it as a 3rd data source!

Could anyone help why the error is being thrown! Much appreciated in advance! 🙂

Something is using that Excel file. If it is sync'd via OneDrive, OneDrive for Business, or SharePoint, something has it open, even if in a Web View. If all else fails, reboot if some process on your PC has it open. but if someone else has it open on their PC, you will get that error on yours if it is in OneDrive, etc.

DAX is for Analysis. Power Query is for Data Modeling
