Just like in the draft October 2024 version accidentaly released in August 2024 (yes there was one, available for few days), the real October 2024 desktop version (2.137.751.0) is also not showing content from the filter pane. Only the selected option remains visible (see example below)
Obs.: it was working fine in the September 2024 version
Ex.: the advanced filtering and TopN labels are not visible.
Another October24 version (2.137.952.0) just released and the issue is still there.
For a moment I thought we didnt need to wait until the nov24 version. 🙄
Hi @HewBR ,
After testing, you can try the following workarounds.
set the text of the filter cards to white, the input and background are black.
This way, all filter types are visible.

At this point in time, having already four different October versions (yep folks, 4!) and possibly few weeks from having the November 24 version that is suppose to fix the problem, I'd rather not change the reports with this workaround, specially if I have to roll back all reports to previous state, as soon as the fix is in place 🤞.
Hi @HewBR ,
After another review, there is the following update:
This issue has been submitted internally, the team is working on it, please be patient.

Let's be realistic, if Microsoft follows the tradition of having those new PBI desktop releases available only just about a major event, the november24 release will be expected by 18th of Novembre (Microsoft Ignite).
That means, the users will have to work for more than a month with a bug that affects (inutilizes, I should say) the most spoken feature of the last two releases (sep and now oct24), the dark mode.
I understand your suggestion to be patient, but I believe most of power bi developers who will be working on reports that depend on using filter to a visual or to a page (very common usage of pbi), will simply NOT use dark mode, until this is fixed. And forget about all the fanfare made for it, for a month.
update: I understand now what you mean by changing the filter pane background.
Click on empty area of the canvas, choosing format \ filter pane \ background set to red (default transparency 0% kept).
Done. And as you can see it does not change the actual drop down options, they remain invisible.
Sorry @Kishore_KVN , i think you answered the topic without testing it.
It is definetly a bug.
"Filters pane background is modified manually". Where? How? 🤔
Arent you confusing filter pane, with visual filter (slicer)?
filter pane as it should be
Hello @HewBR ,
Its not because of the dark mode. Filters pane background is modified manually and please reset it then the dark mode will perform smooth. If you have any theme applied please remove it as well.
