Hello:
I had a query against a SQL database, on premise, without any issues.
Then I changed the source to an exact duplicate of the database, but in another environment. After some minor tweaking, the Power Query Editor showed all the new data perfectly OK.
As you can see on this extract, there is a column named "createdon" in the table (second column), that I added to the query:
Then I applyed all changes in Query and even after repeatedly refreshing data in Desktop, the same column does not appear in Desktop:
Does anyone know what might be happening?
Thank you.
Hello Greg_Deckler, and thanks for your fast replay.
Here the extract of the editor:
I did an unhide all in desktop, the table does not show the column:
And yes, I was on last step of the query editor.
Regards.
@superjam What happens if you copy the code for your query from Advanced Editor and paste that code into a brand new query (blank query) in Power Query Editor and then Close & Apply?
Hi @superjam ,
did you double check if there is any error in the power query? Which function did you use to add the column?
Hi Resolver III,
1. there are no errors in power query.
2. Here an extract of the query:
Regards!
@superjam Can you paste in your code from Advanced Editor. Are you sure that the column is not hidden in Desktop? Are you sure that you are on the last step of your query and it shows the createdon column?
@Greg , I did the blank query and pasted the code in.
In Power Query, everything looks fine. The column shows up perfectly, as expected.
But in Desktop, it did not! The same as with the "original" query.
What a wiered thing, huh?
@Greg @mangaus1111 I just noted that other queries have the same column "createdon" and show exact the same problem!
I thought it may help to know this...
Thank you and regards.
