Microsoft Fabric connection to REST API

Hello,

I am trying to connect to REST API.
https://developer.veevavault.com/api/23.3/#retrieve-common-document-fields
And it seems I lost the track where I should start. I am new in that.

Should I make Dataflow or Pipeline? It seems both option can be implemented:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/get-started/decision-guide-pipeline-dataflow-spark

1. Dataflow: I tried to use WEB API connector, but it is always failed. I used User/Password authentification.

2. Pipline: I tried WEB and WEB V2 connection for Copy Activity with different type of authentification but I failed again.

Can you please help me with a brief guide? It seems I do something wrong just at the begining.
Thank you!

Hello @lewolze ,
I have not used this particular API  in the past and I do not have a first hand experience on the same . But I have always used the postman to testing the payload and if that works I tried to implement the same in dataflow/pipeline .
Did you tried the postman option and did it worked ? I will start with postman first before doing anything at all .
Thanks
Himanshu

Hello Himanshu,
Thank you for the reply. Yes, I usually check with Windows PowerShell.
I managed to call 'SP Metadata' (I found this link in SAML Single Sign-on Configuration). At least, authentification worked out and I got the response from API. I'll try to call some data/documents soon.
I'll keet you updated.

For connecting a REST API, web activity within the pipeline is sufficient.

Below is a sample blog to access an Azure REST API leveraging web activity:

https://www.c-sharpcorner.com/article/invoke-azure-data-factory-pipeline-via-msft-fabric/

Can you please share the web activity settings/config and what error you are getting?

And were you able to test the same config of accessing the REST API via postman or some extranl way?
