How to copy excel files from Sharepoint into Lakehouse via Service Principal

Hi there,

I am trying to copy data from Sharepoint into a Lakehouse in Fabric using a registered app in Azure. I have been able to get data from a Sharepoint Online List, however I haven't had much success reading excel files located in specific directories. Please view screenshot below:

I have tried following the Microsoft guidance in registering a service prinicpal app Copy data from SharePoint Online List - Azure Data Factory & Azure Synapse | Microsoft Learn however, once the app is created via  https://<your-site-url>/_layouts/15/appinv.aspx it returns with a page that is requesting access to the designated sharepoint site.

Any ideas how to resolve?

Hi @nalmoukayed ,

First you need to make sure that the SharePoint credentials you are using in Data Factory are up to date. If the password has changed, update the credentials.
If you are using a data gateway, make sure the status of the gateway is “Online” and update the SharePoint source credentials in the gateway settings.

If that still doesn't work, I think you can try directly selecting the data source you want to connect to at Get Data.
