Dataflow Gen2 Web API Errors

Hi,

We're trying to fetch data from API (with gateway) using Fabric Dataflow Gen2 but faced some issues while trying.

First of all we tried directly connect to API with using base url and we're getting the error in the below. I believe main issue in here is we need to connect this API with body but there is no body section we can insert like in pipelines.

As a second approach we tried to manually write power query code to fetch the data from api and we succeeded. We can fetch the data and see the data in the dataflow gen2 but when we try to publish the dataflow we're getting error.

Error after trying to publish the dataflow;

Any help ?

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for using Microsoft Fabric Community.

Apologies for the inconvenience that you are facing here.

As I understand that you're facing an issue due to problems with data source credentials in Microsoft Fabric dataflow gen2 while connecting to a web API.

I tried to repro the same scenario but did not find any difficulty in accessing the data from Web API. Please find the screenshots for reference.

Could you please confirm how you are configuring the data source authentication kind?

Try to connect using create new connection this might help you.

If the issue still persists please do let us know.

Hope this helps.
