For the last week I've been getting the following error message when trying to refresh my dataflow gen 2.
[queryname]WriteToDataDestination: Mashup Exception Data Source Error Couldn't refresh the entity because of an issue with the mashup document MashupException.Error: Error in comitting version., InnerException: We can't update the value. The operation or its arguments aren't supported by the value., Underlying error: We can't update the value. The operation or its arguments aren't supported by the value. Details: Reason = DataSource.Error;Message = We can't update the value. The operation or its arguments aren't supported by the value.;Detail = #table({"Version", "Published", "Data", "Modified"}, {});Message.Format = We can't update the value. The operation or its arguments aren't supported by the value.;Microsoft.Data.Mashup.Error.Context = User GatewayObjectId:[xxxxxx-xxxxx-xxxx-xxx....]
The dataflow uses an on-premise gateway to run a SELECT SQL statement from Amazon Redshifft.
Thank you,
Solved! Go to Solution.
@JillianHay - Confirmed that the On-premise gateway to the latest version 3000.222.5 (May 2024) resolved the issue I was having with my data flow. Hopefully your admin can update your version for you!
I'm getting the same error, however it is my very first gen 2 dataflow (I've got hundreds of gen 1), so it might be something I'm missing. Connecting to a SQL database and running a simple proc.
Do you also have a warning at the bottom that your gateway version is lower than recommended?
Yes, but it's not a long way out.... worth testing that, good thought.

Update also resolved it for me.

I've asked my admin about upgrading. Will let you know if that solves it, but you may consider asking your folks to upgrade too.
