Thanks for your response.
Yes, PostgreSQL is a connector that is supported in Data Pipeline with the Copy Activity, so they can explore using that as well. With regards to the Dataflows Gen2 one thing they could test if they are simply doing a straight copy from source to target is disabling staging on the query and see if that helps to reduce the duration. (right-click on the query and from the context menu deselect the 'enable staging' option) This guidance is discussed in the blog post here when it used to be called 'enable load' Data Factory Spotlight: Dataflow Gen2 | Microsoft Fabric Blog | Microsoft Fabric
I hope this helps. Please do let us know if you have any further questions.

Apologies for the issue that you are facing here.
The below procedure might help you to resolve your ask.
In order to connect from on-prem SQL server to Fabric, you need to install an on-premises gateway. Please find the related documentation - Install and configure an on-premises data gateway
For server connection from on-prem SQL server to Microsoft Fabric please refer :
On Premise SQL Server 2022 Data into Microsoft Fabric

Are the subscriptions in the same tenant? Have you reviewed the documentation? Set up your PostgreSQL database connection - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn. If you have the username/password you should be able to create the connection from Dataflows Gen2 to the PostgreSQL database, based on the pre-reqs you will need to have a gateway with the provider installed.
I hope this helps. Please do let us know if you have any further questions. Glad to help.
Thanks
