Lakehouse and DW Linked Services From Outside Fabric

Is it possible/planned to create linked services in ADF Azure Service (outside of Fabric) to Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse? I don't see them in the list of linked service types. Or, are Fabric pipelines the only option to access Fabric resources?
