Can Fabric SFTP traffic be secured/routed like SFTP can be in Azure Data Factory (ADF)?

Greetings. We are exploring the Fabric pipeline SFTP activity and have a question. We currently use ADF with a self-hosted integration runtime (recommended by ADF documentation) on an Azure VM so that outbound SFTP activities transfer data securely from a particular IP address. Is there any way to integrate the Fabric SFTP activity/pipeline with something similar for secure data movement and transfers?

We are hoping to use the SFTP action to securely transfer files that get ingested into Fabric out to organizations, and we want to use a secured network and static IP, which is what we get with ADF and self-hosted IR.

You can use Power BI ON premises gateway for the same

Thanks for the reply, @NandanHegde. But if the datastore itself isn't on-premise, does that setting have an effect/any bearing? I was under the impression the data gateway was used to access on-prem data rather than routing traffic like we can do with a self-hosted IR.

The On premises data gateway is an ambigious terminology for the gateway.

The Power BI gateway is similar to ADF self hosted IR and acts as a bridge between Power BI cloud service and the VNet environemnt ( which can be IaaS, On Prem or VNet within PaaS)
