Totals of truncated visuals
Hello all,
I just found out that totals of values are being truncated when there are too munch unique values. In my case this occurs with (at least) stacked column charts. See sample file.
For instance:
I'm having a simple measure like 'Sales' = SUM(Sales[Amount]). I put this in a bar chart. The total label returns a value of €1.000.000.
Next; I add Sales[Customer name] as a legend to the chart. This contains >400.000 unique values.
The amount of values in the legend is being truncated, so only 500 unique values are listed in the visual. This is no problem.
BUT; the total label (and axis) only displays the 'Sales' of these 500 unique customer names. Which is a problem.
This is very confusing for users that (for instance) are looking for drill down/filter applications. I'm not sure if this is intended behavior. Are there any solutions how to bypass this so the total label (and axis) will show the untruncated total value?
