This one is pretty self-explanatory and one I think has been on here a couple times. When we use custom colors the eraser icon doesn't always clearly show up and my customers seem inconsolable that they have to "de-select" their selections from within a slicer (since they think the eraser doesn't exist or went away--not sure which that case is, but that's neither here nor there). It'd be nice to just set the icon to Black or something--even if it wasn't full hex control/functionality like we've comes to love elsewhere within the software. Examples:

The default slicer doesn't have the functionality to select all results that the search returns. Currently, all the desired values from the search output should be selected manually, which is tedious if the user wants to select a good number of values from the slicer. Having a "select all" option together with the search output, which allows the user to select all the results from the search would be a useful addon.

When using a date slicer it would be great if it existed an option "earliest date" (or latest). The issue is that when you have a table that is constantly adding new records, with a date column, the default status of the slicer gets outdated. Example: the default status of the slicer, and where the bookmark was saved is on period 2019.05. When a new record 2019.06 is added to the table, the bookmark needs to be saved and bookmark updated, this every month. I know there are DAX workarounds, I am using them, but an "latest date" option on the date filter would save us this extra work.

Hello Everyone, A common issue i often come accross when building reports is finding the best way to show date filtering and also keep the dates dynamic. The Relative Date option for the Slicer is an awesome tool, but it sadly has a major drawback. My customers are not able to both view back and forward in time at the same time. This is especially an issue when dealing with forecasts, since holding a forcast up to historic values is very important. What i suggest is to add a "Between" or "Combine" option under the "Last", "Next" and "This" options. So the customer can choose to see 4 months back and 3 months ahead for instance, since today this needs to be hardcoded into a calendar table, if the date also needs to move dynamically. I believe that this change would please a lot og users and make the "Relative Date" option much more useable. Thanks in advance

My suggestion would be to have a "yesterday' and "tomorrow" option in the relative date slicer. I am currently using the "last 2 days" as my slicer but that naturally picks up today's data as well! Thanks a ton

Dear Microsoft Power BI Team, I'd like to suggest a feature for Power BI that would enhance its interactivity and user experience. It would be great if we could have an option to dynamically color Card visuals based on selections made in Slicers. Specifically, I envision a functionality where selecting an item in a slicer highlights or changes the color of a corresponding Card visual. When the item is deselected in the slicer, the Card visual would then return to its default color. This would provide an immediate, visual indicator of the slicer selection, which could greatly enhance the understanding and readability of our dashboards. Having this functionality would be particularly useful in scenarios where multiple Cards are present on the dashboard, and we want to direct the viewer's attention to specific Cards based on slicer selections. Thank you for considering this suggestion. I believe this feature would greatly benefit all users and help create more interactive, dynamic, and user-friendly reports. One of the few bad user experiences with our Power BI Report dashboards generated from Microsoft AS Tablular databases is searching by name or code in a slicer when the source table is large. It can take several seconds for the results to come back, which is not bad in isolation but can be very frustrating for someone who is repeatedly selecting from the list. For these cases it would be helpful to enable the slicer to use a full text index search a combined name/code field.

When using a date slicer there is an option to select "between", "before" and "after" and select using a calendar. There is no option to have an "on date" option and select using a calendar. Instead users must filter the date using either the dropdown, list or the filter panel. All of these have navigation and usability drawbacks. This request is to add an option to the list of date selections called "on date" that presents a single date field with a calendar.

I have a slicer like the one below using field parameters. It would be great if the boxes would auto center vertically on the slicer. Or be given the option to do so.

Hi All, Based off my colleagues post on the forums: Reset Slicer for Dates with Quarters and Months To summarise: If you have 3 date slicers Year, Quarter and Month and you have selected January from the month slicer. Lets now say you now wish to select Quarter 2 from the Quarter Slicer, the January Month that was selected previously is still visibile Is there a way of implementing such logic that the month selected is automically deselected when you select a different quarter? Currently, you can use the Time Slicer, which gives you a slider bar, or the regular slicer which puts each date in a button rather than allowing the user to group the dates logically. To work around this, there are multiple options but they aren't straight forward. Request: Provide a relative time slicer that supports buttons (not a slider bar) for either pre-set relative dates or custom relative dates such as 7 days (today - 7d), 30 days, etc. After searching for a few days, I've found that many people have been attempting this using different methods but it would be a valuable option if a Time Slicer existed for Relative Time. I've also noticed requests for a time of day slicer but I'm not sure if there's a need for a relative time of day slicer.

In pbi desktop, the Sync slicers view miss a scroll bar, whereas "Selection" or "Bookmarks" have. I'm currently oblige to use a vertical oriented screen to get a longer view in order to select or unselect pages setting

Hi, In our organization we alwasy use the "Relative Date" as the standard mode for the Date Filter. When talking to users many like the feature for its useability but just as many are asking if they can select a specific period, and we have to tell them no. Sure this can be optained through highlighting periods in a table or visual, however this fix is "temporary" for the user and not a hard filter across pages. The function is avaliable in Desktop through the "Slicer Header" to change it but i cant give that option to the user in service or embedded. Please make the "Slicer Header" customization avaliable for users in Service and Embedded as well:

So i was wondering if there's any way to add the box/lines option that Headers may have on Slicers, on Titles. Sample figure showing the line i'm talking about. Besides not looking something cooler, i'm creating a report with easy-to-understand slicers so that the user can adjust. The lines of the headers makes easier to the user to see what are the fields being sliced on. Also, i don't think that it is trivial to rename a column condittionally (if it is possible to do so), e.g. if the user has not filled a certain slicer field (since resetting all selections is a option in my report), the text would change from "Value" to something like "Value - Selection Required!". So, it's basically adding the shape options that headers have to titles. Thank you!

It would be good to be able to filter between ranges of texts. For example to filter a range of customer codes containing letters.
