Power KPI - select data points

I use line chart to visualize KPI against timeline. The problem is that lines appear jagged and are not pleasing on eyes. I switched to Power KPI and used monotone lines to see smooth lines. While this helped, I lost important ability in line chart - select one or more data points. I use that for cross filter other visualizations. It would be great if Power KPI supports selection of data points.
