Hi Fabric Community,
I'm running into an issue with a type activator in Fabric and could use some guidance from the community. When attempting to commit the activator to my repo, I received the following error message:
"We weren't able to commit the following item:
Please check the technical details for more information "
I'm not entirely sure what this error means or how to troubleshoot it. If anyone has come across a similar issue with type activators in Fabric or has any insights into what might be causing this, I'd really appreciate your help.
Thanks in Advance
I am experiencing the same problem. Whenever I try to commit an activator artefact to our DevOps repository, I am greeted by the following error message:
This would be our first activator artefact, so we are definitely not running into any of the limits. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Cheers.
Edit: I think, I found the cause of the issue. When I create the activator from my workspace, I am able to commit it without any issues. But when the activator was created from a powerBI report into my workspace, I am unable to commit it. Unfortunately there is no way to select a report as source from a newly created activator, so my initial problem remains.
Hi @tomi_ore ,
Please check if the maximum number of Activator items exceeds the limit.
Your organization might have up to 250 Activator items per region. If you try to create more than this number of items, you receive an error message. To resolve the error, either:

Hi Neeko,
Thanks for your response and the information about activator limitations. However, I think there may be some confusion. I currently have only one activator in my repository, which is used to trigger a pipeline. The issue I'm facing is that I'm unable to commit this single activator to my repository. Given that I'm well below the limit of 250 activator items per region, I don't believe the problem is related to exceeding the maximum number of allowed items.
There seems to be a different issue preventing me from committing my activator. If you have any insights into why I might be unable to commit an activator to a repository, even when I only have one activator, I would greatly appreciate your guidance. Any suggestions on troubleshooting steps or potential causes would be very helpful.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I'm eager to resolve the issue and successfully commit my activator to the repository.
Thanks Tomi
Hi @tomi_ore ,
Through my tests it works fine and I can't reproduce your issue.
If you are a Power BI Pro licensee, I would suggest that you create a support ticket for free and a dedicated Microsoft engineer will come to solve the problem for you.
It would be great if you continue to share in this issue to help others with similar problems after you know the root cause or solution.

Hi @tomi_ore,
According to your description, it seems like your requirement is more related to real-time intelligence Activator. I will help you move the post to that forumn to get further support.
