Hi there, Currently, we have a on-premises SSRS 2016 (SQL Server Reporting Service in standalone mode) server and it has many paginated reports (RDL files) with pre-formatted business requirement. One of our company's application uses the Report Server Web Service Endpoints functionality (i.e. http://mySSRSsrv/ReportServer/ReportService2010.asmx ) to extract many reports automatically into various format such as Excel, CSV and PDF per needs. See this for more: Report Server Web Service Endpoints - SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) | Microsoft Docs We intend to migrate all of the RDL’s SSRS files with 2 x design alternatives- (Prefer Option 1) Deploy all paginated reports RDL's into the Power BI Service workspace in the cloud (knows as www.powerbi.com) . However, how can above application extract the RDL’s report output into Excel, CSV and PDF as to our knowledge PowrBI.com service does not provide or expose any web-service or alternative to achieve that? Any help please. Note we have PBI Premium capacity. (Option 2) Deploy all paginated reports RDL's into an On-premises Power BI Report Server. But once again, how can above application extract the RDL's report output into Excel, CSV and PDF as to our knowledge PowerBI Report Server does not offer or expose any web-service to acheive that? Any help pleaseSolved3.5KViews0likes2CommentsPower BI Report Server Web Service URL is not working - it just browses my reports
The Report Server Web Service URL is just browsing files and is not showing the admin interface. I have tried changing both the virtual directory and port number, rebooting - deleting the registration with netsh but nothing has worked. It used to work - the only change is I've added the Oracle ODAC client1.1KViews0likes1CommentReport Color Theme Changes After Publishing

I have some complicating issues with extreme long time (over ten minutes) of response with some management operations with PBIRS. Issues: -When creating (or editing) Scheduled refresh plan on web portal, on finish action (Create or Save action) it take extreme long time (tens minutes) to response (or fails in some cases). If after this successful (and longtime waiting) operation I try create or edit additional Refresh plans, it are processed immediately. -When try connect from SSMS to PBIRS instance (on http(s)://<servername>/ReportServer) it fails after some time. When I try to connect after successfully finished action with Refresh plan, SSMS connect immediately. -When try open http(s)://<servername>/ReportServer via browser, there no response from server. When I try to open after successfully finished action with Refresh plan, page is opened immediately. Problem is probably with PBIRS Web Service (not Web Portal) API on http(s)://<servername>/ReportServer , which is not accessible during standard operation, and it take long time to start. I have these issues on both my environments, both with scale-out deployment, and both with multiple url defined (http and https). Similarly issues (probably same problem) is also described here https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Report-Server/Issue-with-scheduler-refresh-on-PowerBI-report-server-An-error/m-p/1168866 Do you have anyone same issues? Is there any solution? Thanks1.2KViews0likes3CommentsIncremental refresh not pulling today's data
Hi, I've configured an incremental refresh out of a SQL database. It is configured to pull data greater than RangeStart and less of equal to RangeEnd, the incremental settings are keep 2 years of data and refresh in the last one day based on insert DT. This is set up for 2 tables, the original one pulling from SQL and one more which references the source. The refresh finish successfully, but it brings data up to yesterday only. I have another report with same configuration and it works just fine, what could I be missing? This one is configured on a single table though1.4KViews0likes3CommentsData source is Web (REST API) - when will refresh be possible in PBI Report Server?
I published a Power BI report to the latest Server release (Aug Preview) The source of the report is a web page which accesses near real time information via API using an API key ... The functionality to refresh this data from the report server is not available in the preview Will it be possible to do this when the next GA release lands in Nov or Dec 2017 ? And if not is this type of refresh on the roadmap for 2018 Thanks BSolved6KViews0likes5CommentsReports with python on web
Hello everyone, I used python script in "edit queries" to add calculated/conditinal column in my dataset and I'd like to share that report on web with colleagues. The original data is in share point in .xlsx format and will be set for scheduled refresh. The question is: Will anyone be able to open the report on web (given that I shared it with them, but they have no Python installed on their PC)? thanks, Nurbek548Views0likes0CommentsError connecting to web service API
The API works just fine in the desktop file, but when I upload it to PBIRS, I tested the connection for the source and an error pops up that says Unable To Connect To Remote Server. What's the issue here? For reference, I'm following Reza Rad's post for this. I've mimicked Method 3 in this post. I also tried Method 3 Revisited (the XML method) but same error on PBIRS. http://radacad.com/solving-dax-time-zone-issue-in-power-bi v-qiuyu-msft1.4KViews1like0CommentsPower BI Server (August 2017) web service returns 'unknown' when trying to getItemType
