MINX not considering negative values
I created the following measure to calculate the % change in the weight of food items each week. Running % Change = VAR Latest_Week = CALCULATE(MAXA('Weight'[Week]),'Weight'[Weight (Kg)]<>0) VAR First_Recorded_Week = CALCULATE(MINA('Weight'[Week]),'Weight'[Weight (Kg)]<>0) VAR Weight_FRW = CALCULATE(SUMMARIZE('Weight','Weight'[Weight (Kg)]),'Weight'[Week]=First_Recorded_Week) VAR Weight_LW = CALCULATE(SUMMARIZE('Weight','Weight'[Weight (Kg)]),'Weight'[Week]=Latest_Week) RETURN (Weight_LW - Weight_FRW)/Weight_FRW I added the measure to a graph and was able to see the percentage change, for which some values are negative, so -4%). I want to now display on a card, the name of the item which has the greatest % loss in weight between the first week and current week (so the lowest percentage change). I thought a MINX measure would work in this scenario, but it hasn't for me. Values below 0 are not being picked up, so the wrong product name is being displayed. I would like help on this please.

Highest value of duplicate
Hi, i have 3 columns column 1 is unique, column 3 and 4 can have duplicates. Now i need to add a column to identify which has the highest value in column 1 when its a duplicate. Example: Index Id Name 1 A21 red 2 A21 red 3 A22 green 4 A23 yellow 5 A22 green 6 A24 blue 7 A21 red 8 A22 green 9 A24 blue I need to have the higehst value marked with yes in a caalculated column 4 Index Id Name Highest value 1 A21 red No 2 A21 red No 3 A22 green No 4 A23 yellow Yes 5 A22 green No 6 A24 blue No 7 A21 red Yes 8 A22 green Yes 9 A24 blue Yes Any idea to solve it? "1a" text can be convert in integer
Hi, I tested some values to convert and I saw that value("1a") return an integer, it works for all numbers (between 0 and 24) and "a". for example : 1a = 0.04 5a = 0.21 But "a" only is not a value and "1b" doesn't work. Do you know why ? Thank you, Regards, Loveboch

Measure that displays the number of times the most frequent value of a column appeared
I am looking for a way to create a measure that returns this numerical value and does not need the creation of an additional table and/or column. Example: In a 1 column table with the heading "colour" you see. Red Red Blue Green Blue Red Red has the most occurrences at 3. I want the measure to return 3, not "Red". I've tried TOPN, MAX, MAXX, GROUPBY and some others. It seems like the solutions are to create a new table and/or a new column and then look at that. This seems a bit much to get this value. How is this done without the use of another table or column?

Issue with Value() function converting string to number
I am using a switch formula to simplify and bucket a column of mixed numeric and text values. The goal is to simplify values that are numeric with text to just the number. (For example, I have these values in the column: "2", "2g", "2 g" and I want all of them to be returned as "2".) There are some values in the column that do not have any numbers such as "dg" and "ph". I used the formula ISERROR(VALUE([mycolumn])) within my switch formula to return a value of "Other" for these values. The problem is with one single row that has the value "2a". This does NOT return as an error within the VALUE() function. It actually returns a value of 0.0833333 for a reason I can't figure out. Is "a" some stored variable? What is going on and how can I fix it??

Why does the formula VALUE("2a") return 0.0833333 ?
In my table, "2a" is a character string. I would assume that would mean putting it in the VALUE function would return an ERROR but actually it returns 0.0833333. Does anyone know why??

Highest value of a duplicate
Hello, I am new to Power Bi and am trying to find the highest step used for duplicating item IDs. Below is the data I am working with. Item. Step. A. 1 A. 2 A. 3 A. 4 B. 1 B. 2 B. 3 in this dataset the "item" data is repeated as the items move through different steps. I am only interested in using data from the last step. This is what I would like to filter the table down to item. Step. A. 4 B. 3 Although similar posts exists, these data are different because the item column and the step column both have repeats information. I need to identify the highest step for every single unique item. Compare values from 2 visualized tables in powerbi dashboard (NOT BACK END TABLES COMPARISON)
Hi there, I have a challenge for the expert powerbi community!! Within my company we are currently looking to compare two table values in the powerbi dashboard (FRONTEND) to return an marker wheter the individual green value (which is filtered by "studiegroep", "periode" & "voornaam") meets the groupbenchmark pink value (filtered by :"benchmarkyear" but with changing data based on a backend division of data). Using PowerQuery within the tables is not possible given the pink data is changing when using diffent filters (so the pink data is not directly from another back-end table but is only generated in the dashboard by using measures & filters in the dashboard. Normally in excell you would simply make a calculation based on the respective cells (see example below) and add a conditional formatting, see example in excell. However, I am looking for a similar solution within the powerbi dashboard. Is this possible in PowerBi? would love to hear from anyone who can offer help!

Get latest value from other table that contains blank value
Hi, I need to return the latest value based on date of the entry. Table "Scoring Entry" consist of blank values and each test was submitted on different date and for different students. How am i supposed to get a table that looks like Table "Latest Scoring" that return only the latest scores for each students? I tried using FILTER, SUMMARIZE and LASTNONBLANKVALUE functions but that only return the result of MAX/MIN value of the scoring. Much Appreciated 🙂
