Learn M language (Power Query) from the UI
Power Query is a fabulous tool for cleansing and then loading data into Power BI and Excel. The UI is excellent and it lets you do almost everything you can imagine just by clicking on the menu options. Yet under the hood of Power Query is a very powerful functional language called “M”. There is now Intellisense that supports the M language in the UI, but you can also learn a lot about how the language works by using the UI to teach you. In this session Matt will introduce the basics of the M language and demonstrate concepts on how to learn more as you write you queries.
