Gantt Chart with Multiple Tasks on a Single Row
Hi all - Looking for a visual in a Gantt-style chart. My needs revolve around staffing - I have employees that work on reviewing products, broken up by category. There are multiple reviews happening on staggered timelines year-round, with busy durations and calm durations. I am trying to see all reviews in a gantt view with the durations of craziness and calm identified on one row, all against each other, so I can strategically assign my employees so that the busy durations do not overlap. I am having trouble having multiple start/end dates appear on one row. If I have Task 1 starting in January and ending in March, and I would like to format that time frame as "red" for busy and then immediately following, Task 2 which begins when Task 1 ends and goes through April as "green" formatting to indicate calm. Any recommendations on how to use multiple start/end dates on the same row, so that I can keep dates on the X Axis? I'm being forced to either pick one task or use durations only, and neither are useful without the other. This is my end goal: Thank you!
Area graph -Power BI 101
What do I need to do in Power BI to show this table as an area graph with an X axis of date and Y axis of value, with each of the categories stacked in value. I want to be able to show total and drill down into each category if necessary. Display milestones on tasks in timeline
I'm trying to visualize incidents over time, and have been trying to adapt a variety of gantt chart custom visuals to my purposes. I want something that looks like this: The essential elements are: -Timeline -Multiple tasks -Milestones assigned to tasks and displaying on task -Labels on milestones -Different types of milestones -Multiple milestones per task Does anything like this already exist?Use of timeline across a number of different reports
Hi All, Power BI newbie here, desperately trying to get a report I created to work alongside a timeline. i think the issue is that one report has the date (which I've used for the timeline) and the other also does, but I can't use 2 timelines. I did add in a start date, end date and week number relationship which the sheet is linked to, but it doesn't like it. Hi, I'm not sure exactly where to post this but I'm sure someone will correct me if necessary 🙂 I'm not sure if it's been reported here previously (doesn't seem to be) but the Timeline Storyteller custom visual for Power BI appears to have broken with a recent PBI update.. there is a growing list of complaint feedback on the MS AppSource page (link below), but it appears the developer (which says it's Microsoft) hasn't acknowledged this so far? The negative reviews seems to begin around the end of last month (July 2020). https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-au/product/power-bi-visuals/WA104381136?tab=Reviews# Just trying to find a way to bring this to someone's attention if possible, as obviously people are trying to use it (including myself) with no luck. Hopefully there's a Datanaut out there that can help. I can, and have, for years been able to create time line views in Excel Charts using a Bar chart like so: In Power BI, I have an ask to create a view just like this. Our organzational security FORBIDS the use of 3rd party custom visuals so that is not a solution. This is the closest I have been able to come: I am so close I can taste it, but cannot figure a way to first, make the axis values convert from the numeric format into date format, and then second, set it so these are monthly values, not every 50 days. Hi, I have some data in the following format: Incident Number Date Occurred Incident Name 143 1/1/2001 12:00 ex 1 361 1/2/2001 14:00 ex 2 I am trying to count the number of incidents that have a [Date Occurred] within a certain time frame relative to the current date. I want the number of incidents with a [Date Occurred] between 7 days ago after 12:00 PM to today before 12:00 PM. To give an example: if it is Thursday today, I would like to count the number of incidents with a [Date Occurred] between LAST thursday after 12:00 PM and 12:00 PM this Thursday (today). Ideally, I would like a measure to get this count. Thanks!
