table visual
6 TopicsPower BI Visual hyperlink with parameters to display content in another visual
I'm wondering if it's possible to have a value in a table visual by a hyperlink with dynamic parameters that will populate another table visual when clicked? For example, table 1 has colums of "item desc", "date", "qty sold", "qty returned" with rows of "pink bikes", "2022-08", "5", "3"; "pink bikes", "2022-07", "8", "1"; "blue bikes", "2022-08", "18", "2". When the second row , column "qty sold" of "pink bikes" is clicked, table 2 visual would display the customers who bought pink bikes in July of 2022. But, if they click second row, column "qty returned", table 2 visual would display the customers who returned pink bikes in July of 2022. The first table is rolled up within the underlying sql, so I'd need to pull from a separate underlying data table with the information. Any ideas on how to do this? I'm happy to get into a video that's already available.489Views0likes1CommentDownload report with slicers on
Hello, I have a table visualization in a report published online that has links to articles that are relevant to our project. I included slicers as a way to filter the articles that you want to find info about. I'm wondering if it is possible for end users (whoever stumbles upon our published online link to the report) to download only the data presented when the slicers are on? Thanks for your insights!Solved816Views0likes2CommentsExport to Excel - Easy
Ok, I know what everyone is going to say, this is easy to do and I don't know why he is asking this but I am going to anyways. I have a dashboard that has several reports in it that are in tables. I need to be able for the end-user to export them to Excel. I know that if you hover over the visual and click on the ellipse, there is an export option to do this and I know it is just a couple of quick steps but it is proving difficult to get the end-user to understand this. So I am looking for two potential options if they are available. Option 1 - Add a button or clickable link on the report page that will trigger an export to Excel such as what the ellipse steps do. Option 2 - Add to the navigation dropdown bar for Export to have an option of Export to Excel in it. Right now, it has Analyze in Excel which loads a pivot table of all the reports in the dashboard and that is, yes, confusing to people as well. Any easy solutions to this? Thanks. Good afternoon, all! I am absolutely new to the world of Power BI paginated report design, and am in need of some assistance with a table design that includes data points in both columns and rows.... I have an existing report design in our current reporting environment (see pic), that contains data in both colomns and rows. This design works just fine, and the 3 rows (Description, Immediate, Lessons) each show up between each Record item (see pic). My question is, how would I create something similar as a paginated report? I have the below design: But, when I run the report in the PBI Report Designer, I get the following output: Any help would be greatly appreciated. Issue: Power BI report view not displaying Table Visual, on onpremise report server when new tables or newly created columns are added/modified to the display. Work Around: The only time it works (displays the table) is when I save the report as a NEW report on the server. This is not a reasonable solutions as I have to add all the permissions and data refresh schedule every time I make a change. Steps to Reproduce: Put some data on Table visual -> Publish it on the On-prem Server -> Modify the Query by adding custom columns - > Add the column to Visual (Table) -> Save the report back on the Server (Overwrite)629Views0likes1Comment
