Synapse encompasses the traditional processes of data warehousing, cleansing, and visualizing all within Synapse Studio, fostering unity among teams and driving efficiency across organizations. Speaker: Elayne Jones is a Data Engineer at 3Cloud. She specializes in data visualization and data modeling using Power BI. She has expertise developing Power Apps and creating Power Platform solutions that drive efficiency within organizations. Elayne is also experienced querying data using the DAX and SQL languages. Introduction to Microsoft Fabric
Microsoft Fabric is a new and innovative solution that simplifies data analytics for enterprises. It combines the best of Power BI, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Factory into one integrated platform that covers everything from data movement to data science, real-time analytics, and business intelligence. With Fabric, you can enjoy a seamless and easy-to-use experience that lets you access and analyze your data in the cloud, without worrying about the underlying infrastructure or services. In this presentation, you will learn about the key features and benefits of Microsoft Fabric. The meeting will start at 5.30pm with refreshments. Synapse-Remote extension not working correctly
Hello all, I’m currently losing my mind because off the Synapse-Remote extension not working correctly. When I open a notebook via the extension and try to load cells, I get a message saying that Jupyter is “waiting for the session to be idle.” A few days ago, everything was working fine, but now it’s just stuck loading indefinitely, and nothing happens. I have installed conda, JDK, jupyter lab and jupyter extensions. Oddly, the VS Code web version of fabric notebooks has also stopped working. When I run the notebook inside Fabric, it takes about 2 minutes to connect to the session, but then it eventually works as expected. Has anyone experienced similar issues with Fabric and the Synapse-Remote extension? For context, I’m using a MacBook, but this setup hasn’t been an issue before—even the web version used to work without problems. After loading for 15 mins i got a message that the kernel is dead..
