Hi Team, We develoepd multiple paginated reports and created subscriptions in Power Bi Report server. Could you please assist the logic to extract failed subsctiptions list from audit DB or audit logs. We want to build report to extract the failed subscriptions it helps team to start investigate the issues immediatly and fix the issues.2KViews0likes2CommentsData Driven Subscriptions Error (15.0.1104.239)
Regular SSRS reports on our PowerBI Server have DATA Driven subscriptions EVERY single one after upgrade to the latest version ( 15.0.1104.239). We started getting : An error has occurred. Something went wrong. Please try again later. On DataSet Error: There's something wrong with your dataset, click below to edit. Every Data-Driven subscription has this issue now. Anyone have code or something that fixes this? The data sets work fine we validate and save them it's fine and works when scheduled. We get the error only when we Edit a data-driven subscription these errors above come up. If we don't touch subscriptions it works just fine but when we edit them we get an error, or if we create a new subscription we get the error.3.7KViews1like7CommentsPower BI Subscription to AD Group
I currently have a premium per-user capacity workspace. I'm using a report from this workspace, and I'm trying to subscribe a report to an AD Group; however, I receive the following error message. "Free users or groups can only be subscribed to reports or dashboards backed by Premium capacity:" I've tried a Microsoft 365 group, and a security group and both do not work. I've tested with just one user inside the group, and this user is also a premium per-user licenced individual. I've checked my tenant settings to see if sending content outside the organisation is ticked and enabled, and I'm still unable to. Any ideas?Solved2.3KViews0likes4CommentsEmail Subscription Service Failures
We are currently using the On-Premise (August 2018) verison of Power BI Report Server. We routinely (daily) experience failures of numerous subscription reports during various times of the day/night. There are times when several of the same reports fail daily but others may fail also. The failures are intermittent and don't exhibit any specific pattern. When we re-schedule the reports to run almost immediately, sometimes we receive subsequent failures and sometimes the reports running successfully. The following error message shows up for each failure: ERROR: Error sending email. Exception: System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. ---> System.Net.Mail.SmtpException: The server committed a protocol violation The server response was: at System.Net.Mail.SendMailAsyncResult.End(IAsyncResult result) at System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient.SendMailCallback(IAsyncResult result) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.Threading.Tasks.Task.ThrowIfExceptional(Boolean includeTaskCanceledExceptions) at System.Threading.Tasks.Task.Wait(Int32 millisecondsTimeout, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at System.Threading.Tasks.Task.Wait(TimeSpan timeout) at Microsoft.ReportingServices.EmailDeliveryProvider.EmailProvider.Deliver(Notification notification) ---> (Inner Exception #0) System.Net.Mail.SmtpException: The server committed a protocol violation The server response was: at System.Net.Mail.SendMailAsyncResult.End(IAsyncResult result) at System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient.SendMailCallback(IAsyncResult result)<--- . Additional Information: SmtpException StatusCode:GeneralFailure Unfortuantely, the error is very vague and is extremly difficult to troubleshoot - even with Verbose logging. Due to this on-going problem, we have to re-run up to about 20 reports daily. We have conducted extensive research and analysis of our report and SMTP server configurations but are still unable to resolve this annoying problem. If anyone has experienced this issue and/or can provide some insight on how to permanently solve it, please let me know as soon as possible.2.9KViews0likes2Commentspower Bi Subscription Error : There is no data for the field at position x

Hi everyone - I seem to be having an issue with my subscription delivering reports beyond the subscription's end date. For some background, I have a report that is to be delivered quarterly. Power Bi does not currently offer quarterly subscriptions (vote for it below!), so I have set up individual subscriptions, like so. Each of these subscriptions are set to start the first of the month and end the following day. For example, Q1 has a start date of 03/01/2021 and an end date of 03/02/2021, and is meant to be delivered only on 03/01/2021. The frequency of the report is set to Monthly and is set to run on the 1st of the month. The issue I am having is that the subscription seems to be running beyond the end date. Going back to the Q1 example, this report was delivered via subscription 03/01/2021, and then again on 04/01/2021. Once again, my end date for the subscription is set to 03/02/2021. So, I'm curious if anyone knows of another way to configure quarterly subscriptions with the current frequency options (Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Monthly) or if anyone can help me pinpoint if there is an issue with my current configuration? If you'd like to vote for quarterly frequency options follow the link: https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=1bc43753-97da-eb11-ba5e-281878e6855dSolved1.7KViews0likes1CommentSubscription Failures - Unable to load assembly
We just upgraded our Report Server to the January Version from SSRS 2005(made the hop to 2008 then to the latest version). Now some of our subscriptions are failing to run correctly and I have not been able to determine what is causing the errors. We have subscriptions that send emails, use our own delivery extension and save to a file share. There is no pattern that I can find as to which ones are failing. We even have cases where the report has mutliple subscriptions an only some of them fail. I have been trying to google and research this issue, but have only found references to fixes that were needed in the August release, but the issue was supposed to have been fixed in the January release. I have tried resaving the reports to the report server, and that has worked for a few of the subscriptions, but not all of them. Each report that fails shows the following two errors in the log: e ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ServerConfigurationErrorException: Unable to load assembly Microsoft.ReportingServices.Cloud.DataExtensions, Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ServerConfigurationErrorException: The report server has encountered a configuration error. ---> System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.ReportingServices.Cloud.DataExtensions' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. e ERROR: Exception caught instantiating DAX report server extension: Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ServerConfigurationErrorException: The report server has encountered a configuration error. ---> System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.ReportingServices.Cloud.DataExtensions' or one of its dependencies. Upon trying to create report's subscription to a Pro User on our AD, the email address is flagged with the error You cannot subscribe free users or groups from a Non Premium workspace The user is definately a Pro User and their Free User license switch is disabled. We've sucessfully done this for 30+ Pro Users for various reports until now.Solved903Views0likes1CommentSubscription Failures
