Hello, I am trying to find a way to group smaller categories together into an "other" category in a donut chart that will dynamically adjust with a slicer. For example, with the below data set (snip 1), let's say I want to group anything below 10% of the total spending into an "other" category. Using a slicer, this would include categories C, D, E, F, G, and H if I select all departments (snip 2) but would include categories A, D, E, F, G, and H if I only select the green department (snip 3). How do I do this? Snip 1 Snip 2 Snip 3 Thank you for your help!733Views0likes2CommentsHow to customize date formats in my slicer in the online version
Hello, I have this slicer, which allows the end user to filter when the items I am making my report about are published. In the Desktop Version, the format is dd/mm/yyyy, which is what I want. I have also set a column with this date format specified in the desktop app However, when I publish the report in the workspace, the format in the slicer looks like this: Does anyone know how I can specify the date format in the report? My company basically exclusively uses dd/mm/yyyy, so this format will confuse everyoneSolved736Views0likes2CommentsInteractive table calculations based off of slicer selection
I'm trying to create a dynamic dataset in Power BI. What i want to do is as far as i am aware not possible in Power BI: I want to set a column in the query table to read in what the slicer has been selected for e.g. my formula in the query would be: 1000* slicer value. this column would then be used by subsequent columns to calculate an output. However as said everything i know about Power BI says you cannot read dynamic data into the query. So what i wanted to do was create a number of measures that create a new table dataset starting from that first point e.g. have a measure running from the slicer to do the initial calculation and then adding measures to that measure to complete the rest of my calculations e.g. i want to replicate the table i would have in the query but in terms of measures.577Views1like1CommentSlicer to filter multiple columns
Hi all, Looking to create a slicer that uses all names in the 'Lead' column from below table. I believe the correct format to follow is from the following video, but after splitting the 'Lead' column by delimeter, there are blank values that create difficulty: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvvS376vYSw. Desired end state is to be able to filter by 'Jane Air' and all prospective clients with her name against them appear. Any help greatly appreciated! As of this week the calendar that is displayed for date slicers assumes weeks start on sundays. It's inconvenient when selecting dates that the calendar is ordered Su-Mo instead of Mo-Su. How can we reset the calendar so weeks start on monday again? We've already checked the language setting of the browser, dataset and BI, which are all set to Dutch.1.9KViews0likes5Comments
